I take a compassion-focused approach to pedagogy, with emphasis on skills-acquisition and whole person learning.
I write stories with women lead characters that explore how our world is constructed, systematically and idiosyncratically, by our perceptions of ourselves and others.
My theoretical orientation is multicultural. I conceptualize from a cognitive narrative perspective, and I primarily employ cognitive and ACT-based techniques. However, I am not currently working as a counselor.
